I had heard that one particular village had a nice collection of traditional foods. The town of Youbu is about 90km from Yiwu so we had to head off early in the morning to avoid the inevitable tourist rush. We arrived there with plenty of time to spare (good driving skills, Pablo)
People still get up early on this side of the world, though. The early bird might catch the worm but that early bird would be caught over here by ....ugh...an earlier bird 👏
The bu in Youbu means port. You could see a river running through the place. I guess that played a big part in this area for the last few hundred years.
As we entered the town, I saw that the buildings seem to be the similar to the ones seen in Fotang.
Enough wondering about the buildings, time to see some food. Fried if possible.
There was plenty of food on offer here. Egg was definately the order of the day. Throw in a bit of pork and I was good to go.
We decided to grab some food and chill out a bit away from the crowds which were starting to assemble in the thoroughfare.
Anyway, it was nice to taste a few different foods over here. The weather was class ,too.
Roll on , March!
